Use or Deactivate the Member Portal

The Member Portal is an optional feature -- your organization can turn it on or off at any time without affecting your website's content or your Admin Dashboard.

Steps

  1. Click Account on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen, then click Settings.
  2. Find the Member Portal Settings section.
  3. Turn the Enable Member Portal toggle on to make the Portal available to members, or off to disable it. The setting shows Portal Disabled next to the toggle whenever it's off.
  4. Changes save automatically -- there's no separate Save button for this toggle.

Loading the Portal by Default

A second toggle, Load Member Portal By Default, controls what members see first after logging in:

  • On: members land on the Member Portal automatically instead of the standard website.
  • Off: members land on the standard website, and can still open the Portal manually -- see Load the Member Portal.

Note: turning the Member Portal off does not delete any of its button/setup configuration -- your Portal/App Setup choices are preserved and take effect again as soon as you re-enable it.
