Style Controls for the Text Editor in Widgets (Site Setup), E-blasts, Message Center, and More
Anywhere you can enter formatted text — a Site Setup widget, an e-blast to filtered members, or a Message Center template — you’ll find a text editor toolbar with a set of common formatting tools.
Available in All Text Editors
- Cut, copy, and paste (including paste as plain text and paste from Word)
- Undo, redo, find, and replace
- Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, subscript, and superscript
- Copy formatting and remove format
- Numbered and bulleted lists, with increase/decrease indent
- Left, center, right, and justified alignment, plus left-to-right/right-to-left text direction
- Insert or remove a link, plus anchors
- Insert an image, table, horizontal line, special character, or page break
- Formatting styles and paragraph format
Additional Tools in Site Setup Widgets
When editing a widget’s text (including in Boardroom notes), you also get:
- Embed media from external sites
- Font (typeface) selection and font size
- Text color and background color
- Access to your document repository, which opens in a new tab so you can copy a document’s link back into your text.
Tip: If you open your document repository from within the text editor to copy a link, close that tab and return to the original editing window — don’t navigate away from it, or you may lose unsaved text edits.
What’s Different in an E-blast to Filtered Members
The e-blast editor used when messaging filtered members leaves out font/typeface selection, text size, and the ability to embed external media — otherwise it includes the same core tools as above.
