How Do I Use a Household Wallet Balance to Pay an Invoice?

Household members can pay Household dues item invoices with Household Wallet balance funds (store credit). Admins can also apply these funds as a manual payment on a member's behalf.

For Admins

If a Household member asks you to credit their Wallet balance toward an invoice, process it as a standard manual payment and select the Wallet as the payment source (instead of check or another source). See "Mark Payments on Dues and Fees" in the Dues and Fees section of online help for the general steps.

If the Wallet balance is less than the amount due, you can credit a partial payment if the dues item is set up to accept partial payments.

 For Members

  • A Household member cannot pay a Household dues item invoice with a Member Wallet balance, and vice versa. To move a balance between Wallets, ask an Admin to void it from one Wallet and add it to the other.
  • Even if the Wallet balance covers the full invoice amount, the member must still have a regular payment method (credit/debit card or ACH account) on file to use Wallet funds for payment.
  • Payments made with Wallet funds are not subject to transaction fees, since no transaction processing occurs.
  • If the dues item accepts partial payments and the Wallet balance is less than the amount due, the member can split the payment into two separate transactions — one by card/ACH and one from the Wallet — made in either order.
