How do I create a ticketing page on the public side of the site?

Create a Ticketing System Page and Attach a Ticketing System Form

Also known as: publishing a ticketing form on my website, adding a Forms page, where do members submit ticket requests, attaching a form to a page

Why You Need a Page

Building a Ticketing System form (see Create a Ticketing System Form) only creates the form itself — members can't access it until it's attached to a page on your public website. This article covers publishing that page.

 Steps

  1. Follow the "Add a Page" instructions in the Site Setup – Pages, Templates & Menus help topic to create a new website page.
  2. When you reach the step where you select a Page Template, choose "Forms" from the dropdown menu instead of a standard content template. [VERIFY: exact step number is "Step 4" in the Site Setup instructions as of this writing, but confirm against the current Site Setup – Pages, Templates & Menus article before publishing, since step numbering can shift as that guide is updated.]
  3. Continue through the rest of the Add a Page process (naming the page, choosing its location in your site navigation, and publishing it).
  4. On the Forms-template page, select your Ticketing System form (the one you built in Create a Ticketing System Form) so it displays and accepts submissions on that page.

 Tips for Ticketing System Pages

  • If you want the form limited to logged-in members only, confirm the "Members Only" setting on the form itself (in Customize or Edit a Ticketing System Form) — this is separate from any page-level access restriction you might set with member tags.
  • Place the page somewhere members will naturally look for it in your site navigation — for example, under a "Forms" or "Requests" menu.
  • Once published, members complete the form and click Submit to send their request into the Pending queue on the Ticketing System tab of your Admin Dashboard, where administrators review, comment on, and approve or reject it.
