How do I connect my HOA Start account to QuickBooks Online?

Before You Start

Complete your QuickBooks chart of accounts setup first (see "Set Up Your Chart of Accounts for QuickBooks Integration").

 Steps (on Your Website)

  1. Click the Account tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. In the SETTINGS window, click the Connect to QuickBooks button.

 Steps (Intuit Sign-In)

  1. In the Intuit sign-in window, enter your QuickBooks login credentials.
  2. Complete two-factor authentication to finish logging in.
  3. If you have more than one QuickBooks account, open the Search for a company dropdown and select the correct organization to sync with your HOA Start site. Click Next.
  4. In the "Connecting HOA Start to [your community name]" window, click Connect. You'll be returned to your website's Admin Dashboard.
  5. Back on your Admin Dashboard, navigate to the Account Settings page to finish the connection (see "Map Payment Categories to QuickBooks Accounts" for the next step).
