# How Do I Add a Household Wallet Balance (Credit) Manually?
### How Do I Add a Household Wallet Balance (Credit) Manually?

A Household Wallet balance represents payment greater than the amount of Household dues owed. Invoices don't accept payment for more than their face value, so a positive balance (credit) must come from outside the invoice payment system. Add to a Household Wallet if the Household has a positive payment balance outside of and beyond any current invoice — for example, from an offline payment or a One-Time Charge collected for that purpose.
### Steps
1. Click the **Membership** tab, then the **Members** tab, to reach the **MEMBERS** window.
2. Locate a member of the Household whose balance you want to add to.
3. In the **Actions** column, click the three-dots menu and choose **View Member**.
4. In the **MEMBER DETAILS** window, locate the **MEMBER HOUSEHOLDS** section and click **View Wallet** to open the **MANAGE HOUSEHOLD WALLET** window.
5. Click **+Add Transaction**.
6. In the **ADD TRANSACTION** window:
- **Transaction Name** (required) — give the transaction a clear administrative name.
- **Amount** (required) — enter the dollar amount.
- **Note** (optional) — up to 300 characters explaining the reason for the credit.
7. Click **Submit** to finish, or **Cancel** to return to the **MANAGE HOUSEHOLD WALLET** window without saving.
### What Shows Up in the Wallet Ledger
The **MANAGE HOUSEHOLD WALLET** window lists transactions paid with Household Wallet funds, plus credits added to or voided from the Wallet. It does **not** list one-off invoices unless they were paid using Wallet funds (either online by the member, or manually recorded by an Admin).
