Edit Widget Element Types

Each widget on a page is one of several element types, and every type opens its own editing window with fields specific to what it displays. The general process is the same for all of them.

General Steps

  1. Click on the Manage Site tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen, then click Site Setup.
  2. In the Site Builder window, click the page containing the widget in the left-side page list.
  3. Point to (hover over) the active widget to reveal its overlay and control bar.
  4. Click the appropriate edit option in the control bar (its wording depends on the widget type, for example Edit Header or Edit Photo).
  5. Make your changes in the window that opens.
  6. Click Update to save, or Cancel/Esc/X to discard your changes.

Common Widget Types

  • Page Name — your organization’s name and slogan text shown at the top of every page.
  • Header — a large banner-style heading, styled by your current theme.
  • Logo / Photo — replaces a default theme image with your own file (GIF, JPG, or PNG, up to 15 MB). You can reposition and resize the selection area before saving.
  • Title & Button — pairs a headline with a clickable button linking to a page, an external URL, or an uploaded document.
  • Calendar — displays one of your organization’s calendars. Only available on a Calendar-type page.
  • Gallery — displays a set of images. Only available on a Photo Gallery-type page.
  • Featured Links — a set of clickable buttons, each with its own icon, headline, and destination link. Additional links can be added.
  • Documents — displays file downloads directly within the widget (separate from your organization’s Documents page repository).
  • Map Address — shows a location using a street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
  • Contact Info — shows organizational contact details; the header version includes a brand text line, phone number, and email, while the body version supports a title, message, and expandable information blocks.
  • Social Links — fields for your organization’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn profile URLs.
  • Footer Copyright — the copyright notice shown at the bottom of the page. Each page has its own footer widget setting.

Note: The exact set of widgets available on a page depends on its page template — for example, only Calendar pages include a Calendar widget, and only Photo Gallery pages include a Gallery widget.
