Duplicate a Form

Duplicating a form is a quick way to start a new form that's similar to one you've already built, without recreating every field from scratch.

Steps

  1. Click the Forms tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen, then click Custom Forms.
  2. Locate the form you want to copy.
  3. In the ACTIONS column, click the ⋮ (three-dot) menu for that form's row, then click Duplicate Form.
  4. In the DUPLICATE FORM window, enter a Form Name for the copy — this field starts blank, it does not automatically fill in a "Copy of..." name for you.
  5. Fill in or adjust the rest of the settings (Submission Response, Form Recipient, and the Make Survey/Poll / Enable Ticketing / Members Only / Make Form Uneditable / Member Dashboard/Portal Accessible checkboxes) as needed for the new form.
  6. Click Save to create the duplicate, or Cancel to back out without creating it.

Tip: consider renaming the duplicate to reflect how you plan to use it, so you don't end up with two forms sharing a confusingly similar name.

The duplicate is created as a brand-new, separate form — it starts with the same fields and sections as the original at the moment you duplicated it, but has no submission history of its own, and editing one form afterward has no effect on the other. Use Form Builder (see Customize or Edit a Form) to adjust the duplicate's fields once it's created.
