Delete a Sub-Admin Role

Delete a Sub-Admin role that you no longer need and won't want to reactivate later. Deleting is permanent — use Deactivate a Sub-Admin Role instead if you might need the role again.

Steps

  1. Click Membership on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen, then click Sub-Admin Roles.
  2. Locate the role you want to delete.
  3. In the Actions column, click the Delete icon (trash can).
  4. In the DELETE SUB-ADMIN ROLE? window, click Delete to remove the role entirely.

Important: a role can't be deleted while it still has any Role Members assigned to it — the Delete confirmation still appears normally, but confirming it returns an error ("Unable to remove a Sub-Admin Role that has members assigned to it.") instead of deleting anything. Open the role with Edit a Sub-Admin Role first, remove all of its assigned members, save, and then delete it.

To Cancel Instead of Deleting

Click Cancel, click the × in the top right corner, or press Esc to close the window and return to the Sub-Admin Roles list without deleting the role.
