Deactivate a Violations Form

Deactivating a violations form removes it from the public-facing pages it's attached to and stops new submissions, without deleting the form or the violations already filed through it. Use this for a form you no longer need but might want to bring back later.

Steps

  1. Click the Forms tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen, then click Violations.
  2. Locate your form in the list. In the ACTIONS column, click the three-dots menu and choose Deactivate.
  3. In the DEACTIVATE FORM? window, click Deactivate Form to confirm.

To back out instead, click Cancel, press Esc, or click the X in the top right corner of the window.

Finding a Deactivated Form Again

  1. On the main VIOLATIONS list, turn on the Show Inactive toggle to display deactivated forms alongside active ones.
  2. To bring a form back, open its three-dots menu and choose the reactivate option, which appears in the same spot Deactivate was in while the form was active.

Note: Any page on your website that still has a deactivated form attached to it will show that the form is unavailable — reactivating the form restores it there automatically, without needing to redo the page's widget setup.
