Can a resident/member report a violation?
File a Violation Report as a Community Member

OverviewIf you notice something in your neighborhood that doesn't comply with your community's rules — an unapproved structure, an unkept lawn, an unauthorized rental, a parking issue, and so on — you can report it directly through your community website. Administrators review every report and decide what action, if any, to take.
Is My Report Confidential?
Yes. Your identity as the person filing the report is not shared with the member or household you're reporting. Administrators see who submitted the report (so they can follow up with you if needed), but that information is not disclosed to the person the violation is filed against.
How to Submit a Violation Report
- Log in to your community website.
- Find the Violations report form in your website's navigation menu and open it. (Every community names and places this form a little differently — look for "Violations," "Report a Violation," or a similar label, or ask your community administrator where it's linked.)
- Complete the form. Exact fields vary by community, but at minimum you'll typically be asked to provide:
- Your name
- The location of the violation (address or point of reference)
- The date of the violation
- A description and characterization of the issue (what type of violation it is and what you observed)
- Photos or other supporting documentation, if you have them — most violation forms include a file upload area for this
- Click Submit to send your report to the community administrators.
What Happens After You Submit
- Your submission generates a notification to the appropriate administrators for review.
- An administrator reviews the details and either assigns it as an official violation (against the member, household, or common area involved) or dismisses it if it doesn't warrant action.
- If you are a registered, logged-in member and the administrator assigns the report to your own account or otherwise creates a violation record you're party to, you can track its status from your Member Dashboard — click the "Hello, [Your Name]" dropdown in the upper right of any page and select My Dashboard, then check the Violations card.
- Note that as the reporter of someone else's violation, you generally will not see that violation's status on your own dashboard — visibility into an assigned violation is limited to the assignee and the administrators.
