An Overview of the Committees Feature
Committees let your organization organize members around a specific purpose -- a landscaping committee, a social events committee, an architectural review committee, and so on -- and manage who belongs to each one directly from the Admin Dashboard.
Where to Manage Committees
Click Membership on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen, then click Committees.
The Committees list shows every committee's Name, Leaders, Member count, and Date Created.
What You Can Do from the Committees List
- Access Management: grant a Sub-Admin limited access to this specific committee. See Create Full-Access or Limited-Access Sub-Admin Roles for the general process -- Committees is one of the features that supports limited access to individual items.
- View: open the committee's member list to review, approve, reject, or add members.
- Edit: change the committee's name, description, eligibility, and other settings -- see View or Change the Settings for a Committee.
- Deactivate: temporarily disable a committee without deleting it. There is no Delete option for committees -- Deactivate is the only way to retire one.
Note: once a committee is created, the system automatically creates a matching tag and applies it to every committee member and leader's profile. This auto-generated tag shows an asterisk before its name to distinguish it from manually created Admin tags.
To let community members browse and apply to committees from your public website, add a Committees page to your site -- see the related article on letting members join committees from your website.
