An Overview of the Calendars Feature

The Calendars feature lets your organization keep members informed about upcoming dates — board and committee meetings, holidays, garage sales, anniversaries, and anything else worth marking on a shared calendar.

What You Can Do

  • Create one or more separate calendars, each with its own name and permissions.
  • Add individual entries to a calendar, including simple one-time dates and entries that repeat on a schedule (yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily).
  • Control who can see a calendar — the general public or only logged-in members — through its Permissions setting.
  • Attach a calendar to a page on your public website (in Site Setup) so members and visitors can view it directly.
  • Deactivate a calendar you no longer need without permanently losing its entries.

Where to Find It

  1. Click the Features tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. Click Calendars.

From the CALENDARS window you can create new calendars, search existing ones, and open any calendar to manage its individual entries.

Note: Calendars are a separate feature from Events. A calendar entry is a simple date/time listing (with an optional description), while an Event supports attendee registration and ticket sales. A calendar can be set to also display Events by turning on its "Include Events" option — see the Edit a Calendar article.
