An Overview of Sub-Admin Roles

As an HOA website administrator, you may want to hand off all or part of a task to another member without giving them full access to the entire Admin Dashboard. Sub-Admin roles let you do exactly that: designate one or more members as sub-admins with a specific, limited set of responsibilities.

Anyone assigned a Sub-Admin role shows a blue + next to their name in the Role column of the Members list.

Full-Access vs. Limited-Access Roles

A full-access sub-admin can work with every item within a feature they're assigned to — for example, every custom form your organization has built.

A limited-access sub-admin is restricted to only the specific item(s) an Admin assigns them to within that feature — for example, one particular custom form, survey, ticketing-system form, event, or amenity, rather than all of them.

Limited-access assignments aren't available for every feature — some features don't have individually divisible items to restrict access to. See Create Full-Access or Limited-Access Sub-Admin Roles for the full breakdown of which features support each option.

Note: every Sub-Admin role automatically includes basic access to the Members feature (so a sub-admin can see the member list), regardless of which other features you assign to the role.

Where to Manage Sub-Admin Roles

Click Membership on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen, then click Sub-Admin Roles. From there you can create, edit, search, deactivate, and delete roles — see the related articles below for the specific steps for each.
