Add a Subfolder

Subfolders let you break a folder down into smaller categories — for example, a "Community Financials" folder with a subfolder for each fiscal year.

Steps

  1. Click on the Features tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. Click on the Documents tab.
  3. Click the folder that should contain the new subfolder.
  4. Click the New Subfolder button above the folder’s contents.
  5. In the CREATE NEW FOLDER window, type a name into the Folder Name field. The breadcrumb at the top of the window (for example, Meeting Minutes) confirms which folder the subfolder will be created inside.
  6. Set who can view the subfolder — the same Viewable By Public, Viewable By All Members, and group/tag options described in Create a Folder apply here as well.
  7. Click Create to finish.

Once created, the subfolder appears nested under its parent folder in the FOLDERS list, marked with a > arrow you can click to expand or collapse it. You can nest subfolders inside subfolders as many levels deep as you need.

To exit without saving, click Cancel, press Esc, or click the X in the top right corner of the window.
